Hirotsune Tashima Workshop
Story Telling Figure Sculpture
October 27-28, 2018
Learn to make a story telling figure sculpture with professional ceramic artist and Tucson’s own Hiro Tashima. Bring your sculpting tools and make your own sculpture story. Hiro has studied art in Japan and the United States. He received his under graduate degree from Osaka University of Art and his MFA from Alfred University. For the past seventeen years he has exhibited his work, held workshops and lectures all over the world from France to New Zealand, Denmark, Hungary, China, Korea and Japan.

The workshop will be held at Tucson Clay Art Center on Fort Lowell Road. Once again we will have Early Bird special pricing for SACA members and non-members.

Fill out the application below to register.

FYI
 Membership to SACA
is only
$20
per year.
“Yellow Banana Kong - All You Need is Love” is the story of his history. He was born in Hiroshima and his grandfather was a fire fighter there during World War II. That is why his piece is holding a B29.

Everything on the piece has a meaning in his life from the atomic bomb in the pregnant belly to the Walkman, record and tape of Beatles music.
